Our own extraction pipeline reads hospital-published machine-readable files. Every searchable price retains its original source and dates.
What is included today
Published cash prices and explicit dollar-denominated insurance rates for 55 target CPT codes, including MRI, blood tests, scans, office visits and procedures. Search filters insurers when that hospital actually publishes matching rates. We do not fill gaps with invented estimates.
What these numbers mean
Cash prices are the source's discounted cash charges. Insurance rates are negotiated charges across the source's plans. They are not your deductible, copay or final bill. A published insurer rate does not establish that a provider is in your plan's network.
Ranges can include different settings, billing classes, modifiers and plans for the same CPT code. Facility fees, physicians, radiology interpretation, anesthesia, drugs and follow-up care may be billed separately. A procedure code is not necessarily a complete treatment bundle. Ask for a written estimate for your exact care.
Refresh: separate the dates
Each record shows the date the hospital says its file was updated and the date our pipeline extracted it. Rechecking a file today does not make its underlying prices new. The refresh workflow runs daily, attempts primary-source files, preserves successful snapshots when a source fails and records failures. The workflow has completed a successful end-to-end test, including publication. Nationwide processing remains in progress. A daily schedule is not a guarantee every source refreshes within 24 hours.
Coverage is growing, not complete
The source-discovery registry currently contains 1056 location records. Only successfully parsed source files appear in search. Some files cover multiple locations; we do not count those locations as independently verified price coverage. Missing data, blocked downloads and unsupported formats are not evidence that care is unavailable.
We have not yet reached the nationwide thousands-of-hospitals target. Insurer Transparency in Coverage feeds, pharmacy prices, insurance eligibility and personal out-of-pocket estimates are not included in this release.
